YWCA is the leading charity working with the most disadvantaged women in England and Wales. YWCA Doncaster is a vibrant women’s centre in the heart of the town. We offer a huge range of activities, workshops, learning sessions, childcare and a café.
Please find attached an invitation to our open day on Tuesday 13 October 2009 at YWCA Doncaster Women’s Centre from 10am until 2pm. Lunch will be provided from 1pm-2pm which will be an ideal networking opportunity with guests from a range of Doncaster based organisations in the public and private sectors.
Join us to see the range of activities we provide young women. We run programmes for women who may have dropped out of school or who have low aspirations; those who have been bullied or abused; isolated or unemployed women; looked-after young women; young mums and mums-to-be; women who are adapting to life outside of prison; women with learning disabilities and those who may be using alcohol or drugs.
There will be a chance to hear Natasha’s story.......Natasha, winner of the YWCA International Woman of The Year Award, will be available during the day to talk about how she overcame substance dependency, homelessness & repeated offending.
