It's Doncaster's Summer Sunday meeting this weekend (June 14), supporting the annual Family Fun Day on Town Moor will once again be regular partners, the Heartbeat Charity. The day will bring a great card of quality racing and a host of attractions for young race-goers - don't forget, accompanied children under 16 years of age are admitted free of charge.

The Heartbeat Appeal - one of Yorkshire's leading independent charities fighting heart disease - has raised over £2 million for Yorkshire's hospitals to improve the care, treatment and rehabilitation of heart patients. The Charity is set to benefit from Sunday's meeting, with all of the races named in their honour.

For lot's of family fun visit the Family Enclosure (and the Urban-I Grandstand) to see and meet one of the most popular television characters of the moment when Dora The Explorer and Diego visit the racecourse! Bring the children in fancy dress for them to be in with a chance of winning some fabulous prizes! For more information visit www.doncaster-racecourse.co.uk

See the children entertained with Magic Tricks and Punch & Judy at Patsy's Fun Show or take part in workshops and demonstrations courtesy of the 'Doncaster Rovers In The Community Team'. The children can also get their face painted or leap around on a bouncy castle and it's all free.

As a finale to the day Town Moor will once again host two fabulous Pony Races which see 'real' budding jockeys aged between 11 and 15 participate - the only Northern course to host this event and only the second time for it to take place in Yorkshire. Pony racing is a regular event at other courses around the UK and is seen as a great way to familiarise future jockeys to the sport of horse racing from an early age, honing riders' skills and improving the style of potential future jockeys.

The day's racing is set to begin at 2-20 p.m. and all of the afternoon's sponsored races have the Heartbeat title to them, with Doncaster-based Sovereign Healthcare supporting a couple of races, including the feature event - a Handicap contest for sprinters over six furlongs.

The giant screen, situated opposite the main stands will enable race-goers to see all of the action. A shuttle bus service will be in operation from the railway station (£2 return).

Racegoers can book tickets for the forthcoming Live R'n'B evening (after racing on Saturday, June 27), featuring Alesha Dixon, Lemar and Jamelia.Bookings can also be made to see those legendary rockers, Status Quo 'live' after racing on Thursday evening, July 23.
