Chamber Members in Zip Wire Challenge
Local recruitment agency Travail Employment Group are zip wiring across lakeside to raise money for Marie Curie
Karen, Zoe and Lisa from Travail Employment Group Doncaster have signed up for the challenge of the year – to zip 230mtrs across lakeside Doncaster on Sunday 11th October 2009 for Marie Curie Cancer Care.
The staff from Travail, are pasionate about contributing to the local community and wanted to find a local challenge to take part in. By joining and taking part in the day they will be raising vital funds to help the Marie Curie Cancer Care.
The girls said: “Whilst most people spend their time on a Sunday chilling out with friends and family we are not happy to sit back and relax, we can’t sit still! We have all been touched by Cancer in some way or another and are in awe of the wonderful care Marie Curie give to patients and their families – this is the least we can do to help raise funds.
The Travail girls are flying down a zip wire, travelling 230mtrs across the lake at Lakeside Doncaster from a 30mtr high crane platform.
“We want to do all we can to raise as much money as possible for Marie Curie Cancer Care, to ensure that the charity’s expertise and caring reaches everybody who needs it.”
The Marie Curie Hospice, actively promotes quality of life for people with cancer and provides support for their families, completely free.
The Travail girls are looking to raise as much money as possible for Marie Curie Cancer Care. It costs £20 to provide care for one hour – so every penny counts.
