‘FIT FOR A KING’ AT YE OLDE BELL HOTEL

Ye Olde Bell Hotel at Barnby Moor was ‘Fit for a King’ on Royal Wedding Day with two events to celebrate the marriage of our future King!

A very smart and stylish ‘royal’ wedding reception was held in the Nielsen Suite and a Family Fun Day was held in the Bradgate Suite and the gardens. Guests at the wedding reception ‘dressed in style, patriotic or royal lookalike’ and watched the royal celebrations on a large screen TV whilst enjoying a superb luncheon of smoked salmon parcels, breast of chicken, strawberry and champagne roulade followed by ‘royal’ wedding cake!

Meanwhile over 200 guests attended the Family Fun Day – some watched the celebrations on a large screen TV whilst children were entertained in the gardens. Activities ranged from making special crowns with Bassetlaw Play Forum, face painting, traditional races such as the egg and spoon and 3-legged, whilst enjoying patriotic cup cakes, candyfloss and popcorn!

The best dressed pageboy was won by Jensen Gardner and the ‘Feel like a Royal’ competition was won by Pat Chambers of Nuthall Road, Nottingham, who will be returning to the hotel to enjoy dinner for two in the elegant Restaurant 1650 and an overnight stay with full English breakfast in one of the hotel’s stunning bedrooms.
