Day in a lifetime for local couple

Local  couple John and Siobhan McHale will enjoy a "day in a lifetime" at Doncaster Racecourse's popular St Leger Festival on Thursday - thanks to leading designer fashion boutique Robinsons of Bawtry.

The lucky couple entered a competition at the South Parade store for a VIP day out at the races with a difference - and won!
Now John and Siobhan will be dressed up in designer clothing and chauffeur driven to Town Moor to enjoy DFS Ladies' Day - one of the highlights of the South Yorkshire social calendar.

John, a financial consultant, and executive manager Siobhan will also join Robinsons of Bawtry in the parade ring for their sponsored race at the televised fixture, meeting jockeys and trainers before being whisked off for a romantic evening at the four-star Crown Hotel in Bawtry.

"It's amazing," says Siobhan. "We'd only been in Robinsons once but picked up an entry form for this fabulous competition and then found out we'd won it. We never usually enter competitions and the only thing we have ever won before is £10 on the lottery.  We both love racing, although very rarely go, and are going to have a day in a lifetime."

Siobhan, who owns two horses, has been back to Robinsons to select her Bernshaw dress, while husband John has chosen his Hugo Boss suit for the couple's big day.

As the competition proved so popular, Robinsons of Bawtry is launching another competition on DFS Ladies' Day, giving you the chance to win two tickets to the fabulous Robinsons Charity Fashion Show in aid of Yorkshire Cancer Research at the China Rose, Bawtry  on Sunday, 18th October.

The tickets are worth £100, including a three-course Chinese banquet, but that's not all. This latest fabulous prize also includes designer outfits to wear for the occasion, courtesy of Boss Black Label and Bernshaw; and an overnight stay in a state-of-the-art executive room at the Crown Hotel Bawtry.

Entry forms are now available in store at Robinsons of Bawtry.
