Use it or lose it - Make the most out of your Apprenticeship Levy

It's been almost a year since the introduction of the Apprenticeship reforms – in particular the Levy. Apprenticeships are constantly evolving as frameworks are being replaced with standards and Higher and Degree Apprenticeships are also being introduced.

Whats changed?

The latest development is the introduction of the 10% levy funds transfer. Did you know….. from May 2018 a levy payer can transfer up to 10% of their levy funds to another organisation in their supply chain for delivery of Apprenticeship standards? The funds can be given to a levy or non- levy payer on a monthly basis, to cover the full cost of the training and assessment and provides a great opportunity to develop the skillset in their sector. As a levy payer, you will probably know that any unused funds in your account will expire after 24 months so make sure you’re doing all you can to utilise the funds effectively.

Doncaster College is holding a Breakfast Information Event on Tuesday 24 April to educate employers on the new changes to the Apprenticeship system.
