In addition to our focus groups and extensive desk research, Doncaster Chamber regularly draws upon its extensive membership to complete a variety of studies, devised in order to understand the issues affecting the local economy and formulate policy recommendations based on the results.

The support of members in giving five minutes of their time to participate in such studies is always greatly appreciated and allows the Chamber to represent local businesses on a local, regional and national level.
The following research projects are now live; please click on the relevant link to 'Have Your Say':
Q4 ’11 – Doncaster Economic Review
Each quarter, Doncaster Chamber undertakes economic research in order to accurately assess the state of the local economy and inform policy recommendations to local, regional and national Government.
Results of the fieldwork consistently mirror trends in the national economy and, as a result, are often referenced by the Bank of England's Monetary Policy Committee, the body that sets interest rates in the UK.
We can expect a typical response rate of 500 businesses – 41% of all Chamber members – making this research the most credible economic indicator available to Doncaster.

Have Your Say on the Housing of the Future
The strategy aims to improve housing and choices, in order to address housing inequalities and ‘ensure everyone has the opportunity to access a quality, affordable home within a sustainable community.’
All views from local businesses will be carefully considered and contribute to developing the new Housing Strategy.
Your Chamber has been highly vocal on the need to build more homes – only 314 homes were completed in the borough last year; we believe that up to 1700 need to be built year on year to do little more than keep abreast of demand.
