Focus Groups

Doncaster Chamber runs a number of Focus Groups.  These forums provide an opportunity for local businesses to share their views and to inform the Chamber’s lobbying and representation activities.

The groups also provide a great vehicle for networking and also to hear presentations from key partners or businesses about issues or opportunities affecting a certain sector as the Chamber is able to attract in a broad range of credible speakers and guests.

The Chamber’s focus groups are all centred around developing their respective sectors and, in the long term, driving the growth of the local economy.

In the short term the groups all look to identify quick wins that can enable member businesses and the wider sector to move forwards.  For example, the Chamber’s professional services group, Pro Doncaster, held a Q&A with the Banks to help local businesses understand how they can better access finance, Construction Doncaster ran a meeting with the Local Authority’s procurement team to understand how they can tender for key work such as Building Schools for the Future and Retail Doncaster has stated to build a strong economic case for the improvement of brown signage in Doncaster.

The Chamber’s Focus Groups are open to all members and a real opportunity to shape the development of your sector and the wider Doncaster economy.
