Doncaster Chamber...excellent at customer service!
Doncaster Chamber of Commerce has had its status of providing excellent customer service confirmed, through achieving the Customer First accreditation. It demonstrates that Doncaster Chamber is committed to the needs of its members and is driven by making a positive difference to the support we offer them.
Customer First is the UK’s national standard in service excellence and involves a rigorous assessment procedure.
Tim Bennet, Customer First Assessor, said: “Doncaster Chamber fully embraced the Customer First process and after spending just a little time with them it became obvious that culturally they are very motivated as a team and place great emphasise on providing the best service possible for their member organisations. The Chamber is very progressive and utilised the Customer First Assessment process as a driver to really take their service offering to the next level and improve further. There is a real dynamism and buzz about the place which made my time there as an assessor pleasurable and rewarding. – Congratulations on achieving very deserved Customer First accreditation.”
Over the past 12 months, Doncaster Chamber has seen a 13% increase in membership – topping the 1.7% national average.
Doncaster Chamber’s Customer Care Team provides a dedicated service to all Chamber Members, ensuring each member’s initial joining reasons are exceeded.
Caroline Abbott, HR & Procedures Manager at Doncaster Chamber, said: "The re-accreditation to Customer First helped to unify our customer service focus throughout the four divisions of the Chamber, as well giving us an opportunity to review our areas of strength and where necessary, the areas for development. As HR & Procedures Manager at the Chamber I believe that by improving our HR systems and taking care of our own employees, they will in turn look after our customers. Post accreditation we will see this reflected in the customer feedback received, membership retention and membership support."
