Doncaster based Pegler Yorkshire won the Health and Safety Award, sponsored by Employment Doncaster, which recognises the business that had best demonstrated a commitment to health and safety issues across the company.
Pegler Yorkshire scooped the award for its work in health and safety and by being able to demonstrate to the judges the seriousness with which the company views the issue. The company regularly measures health and safety performance and has a policy of continuous improvement, with the goal of eradicating workplace incidents and providing a safe environment for staff to work in.
Marketing Director Phill Jackson and Production Director Graham Fawcett collected the Award on the night. "We are delighted to have won this award, at the most prestigious event on the South Yorkshire business calendar" said Phill Jackson "We put a great deal of effort into health and safety throughout the business, so it means a lot to be acknowledged with an award like this."
