Commenting on her success Kate Stewart said: "Since winning the Rising Star award my feet haven't touched the ground - winning it has meant everything to me and I am still very overwhelmed and honoured for the opportunities that it has given to me and to Atteys - from opening up new networks to making new contacts - it has been a whirlwind!
As a young solicitor within a leading regional law firm I have upon qualification in 2007, strived to reach the top. I have put huge amounts of energies into succeeding both professionally and personally, and also into helping others succeed. Winning the award has enabled me to prove the effect of getting involved in the local business community.
From my role as President of JCI Doncaster, to my involvement in Pro Doncaster I have promoted the impact of such organisations to others. I have become involved in local schools - from talking to students about local business, becoming a solicitor, or life at university - to having students into the office on work experience. I have been able to highlight the importance of putting something back into the community in which we work.
Only 1% of graduates return to their home town of Doncaster to embark on their career and I am very proud to have become committed to the professional future of the town and to work for a successful local firm like Atteys. Winning the award was a complete surprise for me and I am extremely grateful to those that have supported me throughout my career so far."
