Formed in 1982, Highfield.co.uk Ltd (Highfield) is a 'one-stop shop' for corporate clients, offering compliance training in food safety, health and safety, first aid and licensing. These clients include globally recognised brands such as Marks & Spencer, McDonald's, Heinz, Cadburys and more.
The 2008 International Trade Award is fantastic recognition for all our recent hard work on an international front. Since winning the 2006 Doncaster Business of the Year Award, we have been very busy creating new business and developing relationships with customers and partners around the world, including the EU, the US, South Africa, the Caribbean and the United Arab Emirates. In addition, events held at the Highfield Training Academy in Doncaster continue to bring trade to the local economy by attracting delegates from both inside and outside of the UK.
Winning the International Trade Award has had further really positive effects on our Company. Not only have we increased workloads by strengthening our corporate brand within the local business community, we have found that winning the award and being associated with the highly regarded Doncaster Chamber has brought a significant increase in interest from potential employees wishing to be part of our progressive organisation.
2009 looks set to be another exciting year, beginning with the launch of the Highfield Awarding Body for Compliance (HABC). We are very proud that HABC is one of the few awarding bodies in the North of England to have been approved by the Regulatory Authorities to award accredited food safety and health and safety qualifications. Winning the International Trade Award has given us a further platform to pursue many potential business leads for this new 'arm' to our organisation.
If anyone is thinking about entering the Doncaster Chamber Business Awards in 2009 I would advise them without hesitation to go for it! It really can lead to formidable business opportunities.
