In their 11th year, the Doncaster Chamber Business Awards has recognised businesses of all sizes and sectors for their achievement in businesses.
Taking place last night (Thursday 10th December), Doncaster Rovers Football Club scored two off the pitch, picking up awards for Performance through Partnership and the Doncaster Chamber Outstanding Contribution to the Doncaster Economy Award.
The Lord Kirkham CVO, founder of Doncaster-based DFS Furniture Group Plc, received the prestigious ‘Lifetime Achievement Award' recognising his commitment to Doncaster businesses for over 40 years. Lork Kirkham was unable to attend the awards in person, but sent a special video message.
The glittering black tie event was attended by just fewer than 700 local business people, who were entertained by local jazz trombonist Dennis Rollins. Guests were also surprised to see an appearance from Doncaster's very own, 2-Grand.
