As the largest and most respected business organisation in Doncaster, representing over 1,000 business, with a broad-based membership across the borough, the Chamber is ideally placed to be the credible voice for your business.
Doncaster Chamber policy is driven by our members who have a direct say in determining our representation priorities. Our staff are all passionate about Doncaster and its businesses and communities; our objective is to ensure that Doncaster continually becomes a better place for your business to grow and develop.
As members you will be actively encouraged to become involved in the shaping of the policies and strategies that directly or indirectly affect the success of your business such as:
Business Crime
Education, Skills and Training
Energy and Environmental Issues
HR Issues
International Trade
Planning
Regulation and Red Tape
Taxation
Transport
The Chamber represents its business members on around 40 different partnerships to ensure that decisions affecting the local and regional economy are made in accordance with the needs of the borough’s businesses and wealth creators. We also work with a range of stakeholders and partners such as DMBC, Yorkshire Forward, Doncaster’s MPs, Doncaster College, South Yorkshire Police and a range of others to keep them abreast of business needs and business opinion in Doncaster.
The Chamber also has a robust Policy Council that acts as the eyes, ears and voice of Chamber members on cross cutting policy and representation issues. The Chamber Policy Council provides a pathway for all Chamber members to escalate issues to local, regional and national government, or other appropriate partners who can influence the Doncaster economy and the conditions in which you do business.
The Chamber provides a number of opportunities for members to be part of the policy forming process. Members can become involved in our policy activities in a variety of ways including through our Focus Groups and regular consultations on key business issues. If you would like to become directly involved in any of the above please contact Daniel Fell on 01302 640113.
