The Groups establishments operate on a 52 week residential basis and are dedicated to providing education, care and therapeutic services of the highest quality to help each student and resident to develop their range of skills and maximise their full potential.
Founded by it present Chairman Stephen Lloyd in 1975, The Hesley Group currently employs over 1200 staff in its establishments, which include; Hesley Village and College – between Rossington and Tickhill, Community Solutions – Thorne, Wilsic Hall School – near Wadworth and Fullerton House School – Denaby. Summer 2007 saw the opening of Low Laithes Village near Ardsley, Barnsley, which will create a significant number of local job opportunities.
The Group provides a full national curriculum in its two schools and vocational training throughout its adult services. Access to and integration with the wider community plays a pivotal role in the development of our students and residents. Links with local businesses have enabled our young people to access a variety of experiences, including exhibiting artwork in local galleries and libraries, working on environmental projects and even gaining employment with local retailers.
