Doncaster Rovers has once again continued their significant success story and made noticeable progress over the last five years under the supportive guide of their chairman; John Ryan.
They have secured promotion twice in the past and in 2007 their accolade came in the form of the coveted Johnstones Paint Trophy which they lifted at the Cardiff Millennium Stadium in front of 60,000 supporters and watched by millions of TV viewers. This was their first ever national cup competition and the momentous occasion came as a fitting end to a chapter that called Belle Vue home, moving proudly on to the future at the new Keepmoat Stadium.
Alongside making some high profile signings and developing the success on the pitch, the club also has an excellent scheme in the name of “Rovers in the Community” which concentrates on involving numerous schools and groups that may not otherwise have the facilities and opportunities made available to them.
Doncaster Rovers being patrons of the Chamber of Commerce is yet another reflection of the club’s commitment to both the progress of the football club itself but also to the Doncaster Business Community.
