MARK HIGHAM OF NUMERO & PAUL DAVIS OF DPD COMPONENTS WALK HADRIANS WALL
I came, l saw, l conquered well that’s what chamber members Mark Higham of Numero and Paul Davis of DPD Components plan to do in October when they set off on their walk of the 85 miles of Hadrian’s Wall in four days in the aid of Breakthrough Breast Cancer.
Mark Higham says “We supported Paul and his wife Ann in their tireless fundraising efforts last year by attending events and donating prizes that l had accumulated over the years from corporate golfing events, only for my family to be effected by Breast Cancer just before last Christmas. This spurred me on to do a bit more than being a passive fundraiser”
This spur of enthusiasm then lead to the challenge of walking Hadrian’s Wall, Mark comments “I wanted a challenge that would push me physically as l spend most of my day sat behind a desk and engage in very little exercise outside of work and the second challenge is the goal l’ve set for raising money. We are aiming to raise £10,000 by getting a 100 local businesses to sponsor a £100 each”
