CAN YOU TAKE THE HEAT?

Can you take the heat? That’s what Campanile Hotel, Doncaster are asking local people – all to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.

On 31st October, Halloween night, Campanile Hotel is organising a fun night with a twist. They want 50 people to take part in a Firewalk, walking across hot coals to raise money for Macmillan services in Doncaster. Other activities on the night include Fancy dress, Dances performing Thriller, magicians, live music and food. This is an event for all the family to enjoy.

Firewalking is the practice of walking barefoot across a bed of burning coals. Fire walking is a powerful tool designed to help transform fear and to inspire people to do things they initially didn't think possible, It can show you that there is more to 'reality' than you think, that many limitations which people experience in life are self-imposed, and that you can actually create your own reality in your work, family and intimate relationships.

Local fundraiser, Sarah Teale, said ‘I took part in a Firewalk earlier this year and it was an incredible experience. I would definitely recommend it to anyone and most important, NO BURNT FEET. This event is being run by Blaze, who are very experienced in this type of event and you always leave with a massive sense of achievement.’

Everyone taking part will be raising sponsorship for Macmillan Cancer Support. Services including nurses, information services, benefits advice and Macmillan grants are throughout the Doncaster area but Macmillan are striving to raise more funds for even more services which make such a massive difference to people’s lives affected by cancer and their families.

Anyone wanting to get involved should contact Sharon at Campanile Hotel on 01302 370770.
